Dear friends,
I don’t have much to say this week. I’m thinking about the atmosphere, the pollutants in it, tangible and intangible. Thinking about how we’ve been sick in the head making the air make us sicker. This has been a daunting week, and, yes, I don’t have much to say, so here’s a list of things that are falling: asteroids, biodiversity, our chances of survival as a species, the quality of music if you talk to some people, the quality of books if you talk to others, rays of sunshine from the bright bright sun, the levels of caffeine in my body after nine, our collective bandwidth, me more generally, kids off their scooters, dudes off their motorcycles, old ladies off their rockers, cowboys off their horses, water from several sources, but sometimes not the sky. Can we get a big humidifier in here? Make these skies conducive for rain to fall? If it comes down to it and the floor is lava, I guess I’ll levitate and build a sprinkler.
Plunging, tumbling, sinking, descending,
Sasha Rotko, EIC
