The Nassau Weekly is holding a poetry and short fiction competition during the fall of 2026.

Please send no more than 2 poems. Poems of any length will be accepted, given that the length is justified by form or function. Fiction submissions should be no longer than 1000 words. Please specify your piece’s genre within the submission.

We are looking for the alternative, imaginative, and unorthodox. Send us poetry and fiction that interrogates its genre.

SUBMIT BY OCTOBER 24th to thenassauweekly@gmail.com.

Each poem/piece will be read by at least two of our panel of judges, who are a mix of current students and Nassau Weekly alumni. There are separate panels for poetry and fiction. Winner will receive publication and a prize.
